Smith for a Semester: Students Arrive for Study Abroad

This spring, 19 exchange students from seven of Maryland Smith’s partner universities are in College Park for their semester-long study abroad experience. "Through Maryland Smith's business exchange programs, visiting students from around the world have the opportunity to study here in Van Munching Hall,'' says Greg Rafal, assistant director of the Center for Global Business. “These students not only learn from our esteemed faculty, but they enrich our classrooms with diverse perspectives on business and culture.”

Smith School Hosts 50 Students from Australia

The Office of Global Initiatives at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business hosted 50 Australian EMBA, MBA, and undergraduate students from RMIT University in Melbourne – one of Australia’s most highly-ranked business schools – from Jan. 4-18, 2014, in College Park. The students, most of whom had never been to the United States, traveled to Maryland to experience business education in an American setting and immerse themselves in U.S. business culture.
