Craig and Lisa Adler, both 1979 graduates of the University of Maryland, are making a significant estate gift to support students and scholarships, aiming to create lasting impact and expand access to education through the university’s Forward campaign long term.

The Smith School’s Investing in Excellence event honored scholarship donors and recipients, highlighting record enrollment and more than $6 million awarded. Speakers said philanthropy expands opportunity, builds community and shapes futures for students and alumni across generations.

The Smith School marked record attendance at its 33rd annual William D. Bradford Awards Banquet, honoring diversity and leadership. The event introduced the Peggy Young Inaugural Scholarship, recognized student awardees and featured keynote speaker Psyche Williams-Forson and alumni panelists celebrating resilience and community.
