General Contest Guidelines

• All contests are entirely voluntary.
• Decorations should celebrate the holiday season–be creative/inclusive/diverse and don't focus on a specific holiday! Tony and Gul will visit each contestant/office, starting at 1 p.m., on December 3.
• Winners will be announced on December 12.
• Please email Gul Durmus at gdurmus@umd.edu if you have any questions.

Front Office Decorating Contest

• The deadline to sign up is December 2.
• Any department can participate. Please have one person per department sign up below.
• Academic departments can use the elevator lobby area close to their offices within the unit.
• The suggested budget is $150 (paid by your department).
• The winning department will get a trophy.
• Smith faculty and staff will determine the winner.

Door/Cubicle Decorating Contest

• The deadline to sign up is December 2.
• Anyone can participate – sign up below.
• The suggested budget is $25 (self-paid).
• The winner receives a trophy.
• Smith faculty and staff will determine the winner.

Ugly Sweater Contest

• Participants must show up to the party in their best ugly sweaters and go to the registration table between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. to get their photo taken.
• The winner receives a trophy.
• Smith faculty and staff will determine the winner.
