Our mission is to empower Smith students to drive impact, understand emerging economies and make a difference at the social and environmental level throughout their careers.

For students keen in establishing a career in the impact space, our chapter will be building up resources on opportunities, case interviews and target B-corp network.

Lee-Ellen is a second year dual MBA and Master of Public Policy student and the incoming President of Smith's Net Impact Chapter. Lee-Ellen's background prior to graduate school was in higher education environmental sustainability program management. Upon graduation she hopes to leverage her MBA and MPP into an impact-driven career in public sector or sustainability consulting. Lee-Ellen enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.

Ashlee T. Albertson

Prior to beginning the Smith MBA program, Ashlee worked as a professional pianist specializing as ballet rehearsal pianist where she worked with Washington Ballet and Richmond Ballet. She transitioned from performer to program manager and fundraiser at various music education programs in the DC area. While at the Smith School of Business, Ashlee has competed in two case competitions, held leadership positions on the Net Impact Board, FVCA Board, 2021 Orientation Committee, and served as an internship coach with OCS. After the MBA program she hopes to solve one of consumer banks biggest problems - how to stay relevant, market leaders in the midst of fintech disruption. She will begin this journey as a summer intern in JPMorgan Chase's Leadership Development Program in Wilmington, DE.

Fun Fact

I named my very cute, ridiculous dog after composer Frederic Chopin. He goes by both Fred or Frederic.
