Welcome Back! Fall 2002

This fall is especially exciting for the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Thanks to its growing reputation as a leader in management education and research for the digital economy, the school has attracted a talented group of new faculty members and students.

Punctuating its leadership position, the Smith School also is celebrating the opening of the new wing of its home, Van Munching Hall, complete with leading-edge facilities for classes, computer labs, research centers, and executive education programs.

In this series, we introduce the new wing, new faculty, and some of our new students. This weeks student story focuses on the new class of full-time MBAs. They joined the school in mid-August as part of orientation. In addition to the full-time MBA class, we welcome more than 350 new part-time MBA students at our Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Shady Grove locations and 35 M.S. students.

Later this month, well introduce some of our new undergraduate and Ph.D. students.
