Undergraduate Awards Banquet Honors Students and Professors

The Smith School community gathered on April 29, 2004, to honor exceptional undergraduate business students and professors at the Fourth Annual Undergraduate Awards Banquet, held at the University of Maryland University College Inn and Conference Center.

"Tonight we celebrate the talent and energy of some of the leaders in the Smith School community" said Dean Howard Frank. "Please join me in congratulating them.."

Milton T. Matthews '68, vice president and chief customer officer of Hershey Foods Corporation, served as the master of ceremonies for the event.

"This is our premier occasion to bring together the members of the Smith community -- students, faculty and staff, corporate partners and friends of the school -- for an evening of fun and fellowship," said assistant dean for undergraduate studies, Patricia Cleveland. "This has been an exciting year for all of us. The newly reorganized Smith Undergraduate Students Association has achieved the capability of hosting high-quality professional events and sponsoring activities which serve all of our undergraduate students, and which provide a wonderful vehicle for alumni and corporate friends to participate in the lives of our undergraduate students," she added.
