QUEST Conference is Dec 8

In the world of unlimited access to data, analyzing and synthesizing data has become imperative for success. Join University of Maryland QUEST honors students at the biannual QUEST Conference on Dec. 8, 2016, to celebrate their accomplishments.

The conference showcases student consulting projects and features keynote speaker Patrick O’Reilly, who will share his thoughts on whether “Big Data, Machine Learning and Predictive Analysis” is a mere hype or a game-changing opportunity. O’ Reilly is a magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and president and chief operating officer of Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) where he is responsible for the company’s core growth, strategic alliances and corporate development initiatives. APT, a Mastercard company, is a leading cloud-based analytics software company that enables organizations to rapidly and precisely measure cause-and-effect relationships between business initiatives and outcomes to generate economic value.

Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST) is a multidisciplinary, hands-on program for University of Maryland undergraduates from three participating schools. Students participate in a challenging course of study that focuses on quality management, process improvement, and system design through teamwork and co-curricular programming. The program combines diverse knowledge, skills, and perspectives to enhance the professional and personal development of our students.
