Xinying Hao is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. Her research primarily focuses on digital marketing, particularly online advertising, mobile targeting, and digital platform. Methodologically, she is passionate about employing Bayesian econometrics methods and leveraging machine learning to realize Artificial Empathy in unstructured data. She teaches courses in Marketing Research and Analytics.
Before joining the Smith School, she was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Arizona. She earned her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin and her B.S. in Mathematics from Zhejiang University.
