Michael Marcellino has worked with MBA students at the Robert H. Smith School of Business since 1994. In his current role as assistant dean of master’s programs, he influences the overall direction of the full- and part-time MBA programs in College Park, Shady Grove, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore.

Marcellino oversees curriculum implementation and design, program development, management of off-site campuses, and all operational aspects of the MBA programs. His accomplishments at Smith include creating student-centered web-based informational tools, revamping registration and scheduling processes, improving and standardizing billing, and establishing processes that enhanced the school’s presence at external campuses.

Since 1994, Marcellino has held several positions at the Smith School, including director of academic programming, director of student affairs, director of student and academic affairs, senior director of MBA program operations, and senior director of professional programs and services.

Marcellino earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Delaware. He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus and received his MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business.
