Lu Zhang, PhD, associate clinical professor of accounting and information assurance, joined the faculty in 2021. Prior to joining Maryland Smith, Lu earned a BS degree in Finance from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and a PhD in accounting from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Lu has taught financial reporting, managerial accounting, intermediate accounting, accounting systems, data analysis, and audit analytics classes to MBA, master’s, and undergraduate students at UMD and Rutgers. He also has research interests in managerial accounting, audit analytics, and data visualization.
