As an Adjunct Faculty member, Darlene has been teaching at UMD’s Robert H. Smith School of Business since August 2021. At Smith, Darlene has taught Financial and Managerial Accounting courses in the MBA program, the MS in Accounting program, and the Business Minor Program. Previously, she taught courses in Investments and Managerial Finance at San Diego State University and many continuing professional education programs for CPAs.
Darlene has over 30 years of experience practicing as a CPA in the fields of auditing, accounting, financial reporting, and commercial litigation with a focus on valuing the use of patented technology in federal patent infringement matters. Her prior clients range from small privately held businesses to large public companies in an array of industries.
Darlene earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from Arizona State University and an MBA degree with a specialization in Finance from San Diego State University.
