Smith Opens New Office & Classroom Space in Shanghai

The Smith School has opened new offices, along with a state-of-the-art classroom in Shanghai, China, where the school launched its Executive MBA program in fall 2005. The school joined the Maryland Center China (MCC), its representative in China, in acelebration marking the opening of the new space on June 29, 2006. Maryland Secretary of State Mary Kane, who was leading a delegation of state government and higher education leaders in China, was on hand to mark the opening of the new office.

Smith School Graduates Second Beijing Executive MBA Class

Marking another milestone for its expansion in the worlds fastest growing market for business education, the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business held commencement exercises for its second Executive MBA program in Beijing, China on January 22, 2006.

Smith School to Launch Shanghai EMBA & Custom MBA Program for Otis Elevator China

The University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business has announced its intent to expand the Smith Executive MBA (EMBA) program in China to include Shanghai beginning in November 2005. The school also custom MBA program for Otis Elevator China, one of the fastest growing multinational corporations in China. The announcements were made in Shanghai, where Smith School Dean Howard Frank is currently participating in an Asian economic development mission led by Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.
