On Friday, September 12, 2014, the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business launched the third cohort of the now campus-wide UMD-Smith Leadership Academy. The Smith School welcomed participants from across campus, bringing together areas ranging from art history to athletics, from facilities to finance, making this the most diverse class to date.  

Select University of Maryland staff in College Park now have the opportunity to take part in the UMD-Smith Leadership Academy, a cutting-edge leadership development program delivered by the Robert H. Smith School of Business, in partnership with University Human Resources.  The deadline for applications for the fall cohort is June 30, 2014 (or sooner for some offices).

The second cohort Smith School's Leadership Academy graduated on December 20, 2013. Seventeen Smith School staff members were invited to participate in the cohort after a competitive application process. 

Classes started this week for the second cohort of the UMD-Smith Leadership Academy. However, some thought last Friday’s orientation was an exciting kickoff and served as the unofficial launch of the program.
