The world in changing. With a greater emphasis on all stakeholders around the global and the speed at which information flows digitally, companies are re-evaluating the way they do things. .

In this edition of Smith Business Close-Up with the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, Gaurav Bhalla, a executive education fellow at the Smith School and founder and CEO of Knowledge Kinectics, talks about rethinking marketing.

Dr. Bhalla is an innovation, strategy, and marketing professional who has experienced the business world as a corporate executive, business consultant, entrepreneur, and educator. His global experience spans corporate positions in business strategy, brand management, and sales management at companies such as Nestle and Richardson Vicks, now a part of P&G, and consulting assignments with Fortune 500 clients in Pharmaceuticals, Technology, Finance, and Fast Moving Consumer Goods sectors. He is currently the CEO of Knowledge Kinetics, an entrepreneurial venture that focuses on customer value innovation and co-creation. Bhalla’s book, “Collaboration and Co-Creation: New Platforms for Marketing and Innovation,” will be release in October.

Smith Business Close-Up is co-produced by the Robert H. Smith School of Business and Maryland Public Television. The television segment focuses on the latest thinking in business management, and features in-depth interviews with Smith School faculty and other members of the school’s community of business leaders.

Smith Business Close-Up can be seen bi-weekly on Maryland Public Television's Your Business and Money. The program airs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays and is repeated the following Sunday at 7:30 a.m. and Monday at 4:30 a.m. on public television stations throughout Maryland and the Washington, D.C., metropolitan region, including:
