The Center for Excellence in Service (CES) and Smith Executive Programs are proud to announce the launch of the inaugural Professional Services Leadership Initiative (PSLI). This executive education program will be held in two sessions, November 5-7, 2013 and February 25-27, 2014. Both sessions will be held at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park. Our corporate partners are Randstad, T. Rowe Price, and Jones Lang LaSalle.
Participants, who will be marketing managers handpicked by their companies, will be introduced to the newest strategic thinking in marketing. Topics covered will include marketing models, global branding strategy, marketing analytics, pricing, integrated marketing communications, and how to deliver robust client experiences. Participants will walk away knowing how to make strategic decisions based on sound analysis of internal and external information. Moreover, participants will learn to use social media tools to build relationships with clients by listening and offering them valuable content. They will also learn how to align Internet marketing with corporate marketing communications strategy.
In the break between the November and February sessions, participants will engage in action learning projects, team-based projects that require applying concepts learned in class to current problems faced by their firms.
This new program will be taught by members of Smith’s world-renowned faculty, including Gaurav Bhalla, Jeb Brown, P.K. Kannan, Amna Kirmani, Janet Wagner, Suzanne Lowe, Wendy Moe, Richard Newman, Joe Perfetti, William Rand, Joydeep Srivastava, and Cynthia Stevens.
