On Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, the Center for Global Business at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business hosted 10 teams from eight top MBA schools for the Fourth Annual Emerging Markets Case Competition. The quote: “Intelligence, ability and the willingness to work are evenly distributed around the world, but the opportunities are not,” was shared by Smith Schools’ Emerging Markets Association President Eileen Little as a hint to students on the type of challenge they would soon face.

A beautiful Friday afternoon welcomed the 3rd Annual Emerging Markets Case Competition at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. Nine teams from some eight top U.S. MBA programs gathered at Van Munching Hall for an intense 24-hour preparation and presentation of their findings.
Teams from top U.S. MBA programs competed to provide the best set of recommendations to the Global Alliance for the Improvement of Nutrition (GAIN) in the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business inaugural Emerging Markets Forum Case Competition, held April 10, 2015, at Smith’s Washington, D.C., campus.
