Finalists Named for University of Maryland Cupid’s Cup Business Competition Five Businesses to Face Off in April 1 Final Event

College Park, Md. – February 14, 2011 – The University of Maryland’s Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the Robert H. Smith School of Business today announced the five finalists for this year’s Cupid’s Cup business competition. The sixth annual competition will be held April 1 at the university’s Adele H. Stamp Student Union and is sponsored and judged by alumnus Kevin Plank, founder and CEO of sports apparel maker Under Armour.

"Green" Internet Provider Wins University of Maryland Business Competition

College Park, Md. - April 15, 2008 - Environmentally friendly Internet provider Anaptyx won the top prize in this years Cupids Cup business competition on April 11, hosted by the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. School alumnus Kevin Plank, chief executive and founder of sports apparel maker Under Armour, donated the $22,500 in prize money to the winning student- and alumni-run startup companies.

10th Annual Cupid’s Cup Business Competition Now Open

COLLEGE PARK, Md. and BALTIMORE, Md. – Applications are now being accepted for the 2015 Cupid's Cup Business Competition, presented by Under Armour founder and CEO Kevin Plank and the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. In the 10th annual competition, the top student entrepreneurs from across the country and around the world can compete for $115,000 in total cash prizes.

Under Armour's Kevin Plank Awards Second Annual Cupid's Cup

The second annual Cupids Cup competition was held Friday, May 4, 2007, at the Robert H. Smith School of Business in College Park, MD. The Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship hosted the business competition for student- and alumni-run startups. Under Armour Chief Executive Kevin Plank, a 1996 Smith graduate, put up $22,500 in prize money and helped pick the winner of this years competition Goozex Inc. (www.goozex.com), an award-winning, peer-to-multi-peer video game trading company headquartered in College Park.
