David Rosenstein ’20, a senior pursuing a dual degree in marketing and management, was selected as the 2020 Student Marketer of the Year by the American Marketing Association. The prestigious award recognizes one student nationwide for demonstrating superior leadership and service to the AMA, academic achievement and impact on their community. The award was announced on March 14 at AMA’s International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans.
Roland T. Rust, Distinguished University Professor and David Bruce Smith Chair in Marketing at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, was recently interviewed by the American Marketing Association (AMA) in the “Marketing Legends” video series.
The University of Maryland chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) used to have just 15 members. Today, thanks to the efforts of Professors Mary Harms and Steve Vargo, and the 15 carryover members from last year, that number has multiplied 10 fold, and the chapter now boasts 150 active, national members! This dramatic increase, along with an overnight trip to New York City and increased philanthropic efforts, was enough to catch the attention of the national AMA.
