Rajshree AgarwalRajshree Agarwal, Director of Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets

Rajshree serves as the Rudolph P. Lamone Chair and Professor in Entrepreneurship and Strategy at the Smith School and is also the founding director of the Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets. Rajshree has a Master of Arts and PhD in economics from SUNY-Buffalo and a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in economics from Bombay University in her native India. Rajshree is passionate about enabling students to excel in their chosen careers by providing them with the businesses skills and savvy that allows them to embrace enterprise and diffuse their particular knowledge for economic growth and social welfare.

Joseph BaileyJoseph Bailey, Faculty Director

Joe Bailey’s research and teaching interests span issues in telecommunications, economics, and public policy with an emphasis on the economics of the Internet. This area includes an identification of the existing public policies, technologies, and market opportunities that promote the benefits of interoperability. Joe is currently studying issues related to the economics of electronic commerce and how the Internet changes competition and supply chain management. He earned his Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and also serves as the executive director for the QUEST program at the University of Maryland.

Christina ElsonChristina Elson, Faculty Director

Christina Elson currently serves as the Managing Director of the Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets. Christina is responsible for creating the Snider Center’s business strategy and direct its operations. She has a PhD in anthropology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and graduated from the Smith School of Business’ Executive MBA program in 2015. Christina’s current interests focus on shared cultural identity, the reasons that firms and organizations flourish or fail, and on using tools such a Design Thinking, Systems Thinking, and Moral Foundation Theory to teach human-centered approaches to enterprise.

Tori ShayTori Shay, Administrative Director

Tori is an Academic Advisor in the Undergraduate Program at the Robert H. Smith School of Business and also serves as SELF’s Administrative Director. Tori is a proud alum of the University of Maryland and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Family Science in 2013. Originally from Long Island, New York, Tori loves the beach, summertime, and cheering on her New York sports teams.
