ALPFA/HCF Scholarship program

Amount - $500-5000
Deadline: February 15, 2020

  • Must be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, DACA or eligible non-citizen (as defined by FAFSA)
  • Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited not-for-profit 4-year university or graduate school during fall of scholarship cycle year
  • Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time for the upcoming academic year
  • Must have earned and maintained a cumulative GPA of no less than 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

Army ROTC — University of Maryland

The Crystal Group Innovation Scholarship is awarded each year to 2 full-time students pursuing an undergraduate degree within the School of Business, the School of Engineering, or related majors.

CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service

Dreamkeepers Emergency Financial Assistance

Government Finance Officers Association

iModules Scholarship

Amount: $1,500
Application opens February 3, 2020

You must meet the minimum qualifications to be eligible for a scholarship:

  • Attending or will be attending a school that is an iModules customer (email scholarships@imodules.com to see if your school qualifies)
  • Full-time student for the fall 2020 Semester 
  • A minimum “C” grade point average

iSeeCars.com Future Entrepreneurs Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Deadline: March 1, 2020

To help inspire and support the next generation of business owners, iSeeCars.com will award $1,000 to a college student who has a demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship or has plans to become an entrepreneur. The scholarship will be awarded based on the application materials submitted by students.

Maryland Alumni Association Student Scholarship Award

Amount: Up to $2,000

  • Provides assistance to current undergraduate students in good standing who may be unable to continue their education at the University due to extenuating personal or family financial circumstances.
  • A scholarship of up to $2000 per student will be awarded for the academic year.
  • A total of 10 awards may be granted annually.

Maryland Parent & Family Association Student Scholarship

Amount: $2,000
Deadline: May 8, 2020

  • Provides assistance to current undergraduate students in good standing who may be unable to continue their education at the University due to extenuating personal or family financial circumstances.
  • A minimum of 12 scholarships will be awarded annually.

MySlumberYard

Amount: $1,500
Deadline: July 31, 2020

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled at or planning to attend a 2-4 year university, community college or graduate school program located in the United States.
  • Candidates must possess an interest in business or entrepreneurship, as demonstrated by past and present volunteer, professional and educational experiences.
  • The minimum GPA required for application is 3.0, indicating that all candidates are in good academic standing.

Neumann & Associates LLC

Amount - $1,000
Deadlines: March 15 & August 15 annually

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA, 15 hours of coursework taken (or registered for) in business coursework.
  • Enrolled full-time, pursuing a business degree during the award period.
  • Complete a  500-word essay entitled, “What it Takes to be Successful in Business.”

National Founders Undergraduate Business Student Scholarship

Amount: $500

  • Open to all business majors with an interest in entrepreneurship.
  • Cover letter with details on the website, as well as interest in entrepreneurship.

Long Nguyen and Kimmy Duong Scholarship Program

Amount: $2,000 and professional mentoring
Timeline: February 15, 2020

  • The scholarship is renewable for up to four years for students pursuing a bachelor's degree.
  • Preference for Vietnamese-Americans (U.S. citizens and permanent residents).

OuterBox Scholarship for Digital Marketing Excellence

Amount: $1,000
Timeline: October 31 annually

  • Enrolled as a student at an accredited high school, college or university in the United States at which the applicant has completed at least one full year.
  • A legal resident of the United States.
  • Submit a 500-word statement on why you want to work in web design, eCommerce or the SEO industry and how you plan to excel in the future.

Schoolgh University College Scholarship

Amount: $1,500
Timeline: May 25 & November 25 annually

  • All applicants must be an undergraduate or graduate international student enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at the University of Maryland.
  • Applicants are required to have a 3.0 minimum GPA and must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • To enter, applicants must write a 1,000–1,500 words essay on “The complexity of the US educational system”. Send to our official scholarship email at scholarship@schoolgh.com with first & last name, phone, country of origin, email address, college/university name, area of study, proof of enrollment (transcript, acceptance letter, or tuition bill).

Surety Association Minority Scholarship

Amount: $5,000

  • Must be an accounting or business/finance major, insurance/risk management major.
  • Must have an overall and major GPA of 3.0.
  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours, including at least 6 semester hours in his/her declared.
  • Must be a minority student.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must provide an essay and two recommendations.
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student.

Amount: $1,000-$5,000

Bridgewater Wealth - Her Wealth Scholarship

Amount: $2,500

Each year, Her Wealth will award a $2,500 merit-based scholarship to an eligible undergraduate woman entering her junior or senior year and studying to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

MD Society of Accountants

Amount: $2,000 for full-time students; $1,000 for part-time
Deadline: June 15 annually

  • Must be a Maryland resident enrolled in an accredited Maryland university, college, or community college.
  • Major in accounting, leading to a degree or certificate.
  • Must have maintained a 3.0 GPA in both, accounting and overall.
  • Must have completed Accounting Principles I and II with grades of B or better.
  • Submit a 250-word essay.

Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarships

Amount: $1,000-$10,000
Deadline: January 30, 2020

  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student, currently enrolled full-time (taking at least 12 semester hour undergrad or 9 hours graduate) at an accredited four-year college or university with a declared major in accounting, business, finance, or criminal justice.
  • Three letters of recommendation must be submitted on behalf of the applicant.

Information Systems Majors

Foundation for IT Education (multiple scholarships)

  • Applicants must be pursuing a degree in computer science, management information systems, or a similar program.
  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • Enrolled as a full-time (12 semester hours or equivalent) undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited institution in the United States.
  • A U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident.
  • An AITP student member.

Logistics, Business, and Public Policy Majors

R. Gene and Nancy D. Richter Foundation - R. Gene Richter Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $5,000
Deadline: February 5, 2020 

  • Seek education in the area of supply chain management-procurement.
  • Eligible students will be entering their senior year and be enrolled full time in an accredited supply management program with the intention of specializing in the supply management profession.
  • Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on outstanding academic achievement, high ethical standards, and the potential to become a future leader in the procurement field.

Allied Van Lines

Amount: $1,000

  • Be enrolled in a business, engineering or other major relating to the field of logistics
  • Additional information collected on the application.

American Association of Railroad Superintendents (AARS)

Amount: $1,000

  • Be enrolled at the time of application as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university; preference is given to those pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in transportation or a related curriculum.
  • Demonstrate successful completion of the previous year of study by maintaining at least a 2.75 accumulated grade point average on a scale of 1 to 4 with an "A" equal to 4.
  • Accumulate enough credits from accredited school(s) in time for the fall semester to have obtained at least a sophomore-level standing at the college or university of enrollment.

National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) (multiple scholarships)

Deadline: April 15, 2020

  • Applicant must be a member of NDTA or a dependent of an NDTA member in good standing.
  • Minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale as indicated by an official school transcript.
  • Planned use of merit scholarship funds and career goals as described in a student essay of not more than 250 words.
  • Completion of a minimum of 30 semester hours (or quarter-hour equivalent) for undergraduate applicants and a minimum of 12 semester hours (or quarter equivalent) for graduate applicants.

Marketing Majors

Ron Garikes Student Scholarship

Amount: $2,500

  • The student's college must be located in the United States and the institution's accreditation must be recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation.
  • The student must be currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree, associate's degree or a graduate degree in marketing, public relations and/or communications.
  • The student must be enrolled full-time, with a course load of at least 12 semester hours. Students pursuing a graduate degree must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits.
  • The student must currently have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Two letters of recommendation must accompany the student's application; one from either the academic advisor or a professor in the degree program in which the student is enrolled, and the other from a person who can speak to the student's passion about his/her major.
  • The student may not have previously received any scholarship award from the SMPS Foundation or more than one scholarship from an SMPS chapter.
  • The student must respond to one of two essay questions.
