Tony Chen… the MSIS program at the Robert H. Smith School of Business became my top choice among the list of all the graduate schools I wanted to go to …

First of all, I love the University of Maryland and I have always been a proud Terp since my undergraduate freshman year. I was majoring in accounting and information systems and I felt that the Smith School helped me grow both in academics and leadership during my undergraduate studies.

Second, the MSIS program at the Robert H. Smith School of Business was ranked No. 4 in the country according to U.S. News. It was widely recognized as a prestige school for information systems and that meant I could get a quality education and learning experience here.

Third, a good education alone was not enough – the ultimate goal for me was to land a job. The University of Maryland has its unique advantage of being located close to Washington, D.C. This means a lot of firms are hiring from the Smith School and the Smith School itself has many alumni around the area.

Taking these three factors into consideration, the MSIS program at the Robert H. Smith School of Business became my top choice among the list of all the graduate schools I wanted to go to and the reality has not failed me a bit.
