Why did you choose to attend the Smith School of Business?

The faculty of Smith School of Business is outstanding. Not only are they excellent in their research field, many of them also have solid industry experience, which I believe is very crucial in business. The Smith School also welcomes students from different backgrounds, and I am certain that I can make friends and learn from my peers, not to mention the beautiful and vibrant campus of University of Maryland.

In your opinion, what makes your Smith MS program unique?

The MS program of Marketing Analytics is special because it combines marketing knowledge with analytics, the latest trend in almost every industry. This 9-month program is so intensive and efficient that you can start your career immediately after. We have rigorous academic training as well as hands-on experience in which companies work closely with students on a given project. Students in our program also enjoy the convenience of the DC metro area: lots of opportunities and fun.

What advice would you give to a future applicant?

I would suggest that future applicants stay curious. Marketing is an interesting field. Different people bring different ideas, make different things happen. I just can’t tell how many new things I learn every day. Always have that curiosity because you will meet a lot of people and explore plenty of opportunities. Just don’t hold back.
