Why did you choose to attend the Smith School of Business?

I chose to attend the Smith School of Business because of its great reputation and numerous resources. This top-ranking business school can equip me with both theoretical and practical knowledge. There are eminent professors and brilliant students from whom you can learn a lot. Also, the Smith School offers plentiful opportunities for students to prepare for their future career. Apart from intensive workshops and career fairs, the Smith School has an ELP program in which students can apply their knowledge learned in class to the real business world. Furthermore, the location of the Smith School of Business is great because you can take advantage of the convenience of living near Washington DC.

In your opinion, what makes your Smith MS program unique?

MQF is a new program in the Smith School. First, the curriculum of MQF provides analytic and quantitative skills training that are useful for your future career. Moreover, this STEM-designed program is quite flexible. Not only can you choose to graduate in 9, 16 or 20 months, but also there are many electives for you to choose based on your personal interests. In addition, the academic atmosphere of MQF is both competitive and supportive.

What advice would you give to a future applicant?

It is essential for future applicants to do their own research to find out what they want and how the programs fit these requirements. From my perspective, you can determine this by realizing your interests and engaging in corresponding internships. Getting prepared and making advanced plans are always great ideas.
