Why did you choose to attend the Smith School of Business?

The Smith School is my dream school since I intended to study a Master’s program. Besides its beautiful campus environment and top ranked programs, the Smith School offers more invisible treasures for all of the students who wish to experience the most unique period of time during their lives. Not only is professional knowledge provided, but also great career instruction and multiple work opportunities fill campus life. Furthermore, abundant activities and exciting sports game are attractive too. This is the ideal environment I have expected.

In your opinion, what makes your Smith MS program unique?

The SCM program has small class sizes, which means students have closer relationship with classmates and more chances to communicate with professors in depth. Because of the small class size, students can participate more in class activities. It encourages me to walk out of my comfort zone and communicate my personal opinions. Both communication skills and problem solving skills will largely develop in this manner. In addition, with the small class size, the frequency with which students can speak to professors helps greatly in professional studies.

What advice would you give to a future applicant?

Concentrate on the task at hand. We have multiple opportunities during the program, and each one of them can help us enhance personal skills. However, nobody can consider all activities, and distraction has no benefit. I’d suggest that a future applicant pay attention to the task at hand, finish it well, then turn to the next target. Success comes from the efforts we produce in each step.
