Why did you choose to attend the Smith School of Business?

I chose to attend Smith because of its reputation and innovative approach to experiential learning. Smith has consistently been on the rise in the rankings and after learning about programs such as the Smith Experience I was sold. An MBA is a once in a lifetime opportunity to focus on self-improvement and discovery. The Smith Experience encourages students to leave their comfort zone, discover new talents, and apply their critical thinking skills to help local companies. All seven “Smith X” courses offer a dynamic approach to preparing MBA students for real-world problems that await them in their career.

In your opinion, what makes the Smith MBA program unique?

Smith’s small class size creates a cohesive community that is tailored to each student. The one-on-one access to professors affords students the ability to develop meaningful connections with the faculty and tap into their deep knowledge base. On top of that, the targeted individual attention given by the Office of Career Services ensures a personalized MBA experience that positions you to smoothly enter into your desired career post-Smith.

What advice would you give to future Smith MBA candidates?

It is never too early to start networking, so get to know the Smith family! Talk to current students, alumni, faculty members, and the Smith admissions team to gain insight on the program. These people are your best resources for learning about all the offerings at Smith.  Additionally, take advantage of our on-campus events and drop in on a class.
