Smith Showcase is an invitation-only event where MBA candidates are given the opportunity to spend time with some of our incredible alumni, participate in an academic exercise run by one of our distinguished faculty members, and have opportunities to speak with our Admissions and Career Services teams. The best way to decide whether a program is right for you is to experience it first hand.
Due to the selective nature of the Smith Showcase event, MBA candidates should submit the Smith Showcase application that includes a resume and standardized test score (optional) to be considered for an invitation. After submitting the form, invited participants will receive the registration link via email. Limited travel vouchers of up to $200 and hotel vouchers will be available for guests who live 50 miles or more away from the College Park campus.

The Robert H. Smith School of Business celebrates the diversity of our community and its many-shared perspectives. The Diversity & Inclusion Symposium is an opportunity to explore the full-time MBA program through the perspective of underrepresented minorities, women, LGBTQ+, and members of the military. This event will take place the night before Smith Showcase and an invitation to the showcase is required for attendance. Learn more about the Diversity & Inclusion Symposium.
Diversity & Inclusion Symposium and Smith Showcase Scholarship
Scholarship consideration is given to all guests who attend the Diversity & Inclusion Symposium and Smith Showcase event and apply to the full-time MBA program. Upon admission, one candidate will be awarded a $20,000 scholarship towards tuition and fees within the MBA program.
Guests who live 50 miles away or more from the Robert H. Smith School of Business are eligible for a $200 travel voucher towards flight or rail tickets. Travel vouchers are only honored when processed through the Smith School travel agency. After receiving an invitation to attend Smith Showcase and submitting your Smith Showcase registration form, more information about how to book your accommodations with the travel agency will be provided.
Guests who live 50 miles away or more from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, are eligible for a hotel stay in College Park, Maryland. Hotel accommodations for a one-night hotel stay are arranged by the Smith School. After receiving an invitation to attend Smith Showcase and submitting your Smith Showcase registration form, more information regarding your hotel stay will be sent via email.
Smith Showcase is an invitation-only event. For consideration, please submit an application and upload a PDF of your resume, as well as a PDF copy of your GMAT or GRE test score. For priority consideration, please submit the application by November 15, 2018. Applications submitted after the best consideration date will be considered on a rolling basis.
