The MS/MBA option allows you to complete a Master of Science (MS) with a Health Services Leadership and Management speciality and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). It positions you to manage the business of healthcare as an administrator in a health care system and for senior management-level decision-making on financial, strategic planning, resource management, and governance issues.
Your business background prepares you to contribute to the development of new approaches to providing health care services. You might work in finance, marketing, or HR within a healthcare organization or serve as the director of operational services, a finance officer, a chief nursing officer, or a consultant.

Dual Degree Policy
Students must apply to each institution for admission. The Smith School of Business and the School of Nursing use separate application processes for admission purposes. Students must meet the admissions requirements of both institutions. Furthermore, once admitted into the program, students will be subject to the rules and conditions of both institutions about acceptable academic performance, reasonable progress toward completion of the degree, and standards of ethical conduct.
