The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business has executive suites at four different locations in the Washington, D.C.,-Baltimore metro area. All suites have flexible space with soft seating that can be configured to suit the needs of small and large groups. All suites also have classrooms seating up to 60 people. Each auditorium has tiered seating, excellent audio technology, electronic whiteboards, projection, wifi, and video teleconferencing capacity. We have break-out rooms that can be used for individual coaching and for teamwork on action learning projects.
Most of our executive education programs take place in our state-of-the-art learning space on the concourse level of the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center, close to the White House in downtown Washington, D.C. This location allows politicians, policy-makers and administration executives, plus many prominent business leaders, to drop into sessions to share their experience and expertise. Our central location also allows groups to visit decision-makers in locations including the Federal Reserve Board, the World Bank and at the U.S. Capitol. Experiential learning takes place at Smithsonian museums and on the National Mall.
The Smith suite in the UMD Biopark on West Baltimore Street in Baltimore is in the heart of the city and is used by many global brand name companies headquartered in Charm City who contract with Smith to provide learning and development programs for their workforce. The suite is also a popular choice for law enforcement and healthcare/medical organizations who rely on Smith for leadership and management training.
College Park, Md.
Many partners choose to conduct their programs on campus in College Park, Md. Situated just off the beltway, the University of Maryland campus is home to 40,000 undergraduates and hosts many executive groups who like the buzz, and the access to some of our flagship university’s state-of-the-art resources. Learn in our executive space in Van Munching Hall, (named for our alumnus who built a successful business importing and distributing Heineken and Amstel Lite beer) and stay in the College Park Marriott on campus.
