Furthering Our Commitment to Education for the Rewired World

To support the Robert H. Smith School of Business's goal of bringing relevant, timely education opportunities to a broader audience, the school is announcing a newly proposed Online Master of Science in Information Systems & AI (OMIS & AI). The program will cater to working professionals and welcome its first cohort in Fall 2026.

The curriculum will be based on the existing full-time Master of Science in Information Systems & AI and will further emphasize the need for AI fluency to ensure success in the future of information systems and technology careers.

The Online Master of Science in Information Systems & AI will gather students from diverse academic backgrounds who share a passion for using technology to solve business challenges and using AI and data strategically to make a positive impact on society. Students will also strengthen their leadership and communication skills to manage projects and advance their career goals.

100% Online Learning

Students will complete their degree entirely online. The program blends independent and online classroom-based coursework scheduled in the evenings to accommodate working professionals. The program may be completed in as few as two years.
