The Robert H. Smith School of Business has partnered with 12Twenty, a full-service resource for employers, students and alumni. Whether you're looking for employment or looking to hire, the HireSmith Career Portal puts a wealth of information at your disposal.
Your account will be created between the time that you register for classes and the time your classes begin. If you still do not have access after your first week of classes, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your UID and program.
All current students can access the HireSmith student portal. To log in, you can visit hiresmith.net and click "Students & Alumni" on the left menu. You will be asked to enter your Directory ID and password, the same as you use in Testudo and Canvas, using the CAS (Central Authentication Service) system.
If you follow the above instructions and receive the message "Single Sign-On Error. We have encountered an issue logging you into our system. A user with SSO ID '###' could not be found", please contact the Office of Career Services at email@example.com or call us at 301-405-2301.
Are you a current employer recruiting with Smith?
Steps to register a user account for Recruiters new to 12Twenty:
- Visit HireSmith employer website
- Click "Sign up for an account" (NOT "Employer Log In")
- Complete your profile
- Read and accept the terms and conditions
- Review your contact information and click "Create Account"
Please allow 2 business days for your account to be approved. You will then be able to login to HireSmith, access your company profile, and post jobs.
Steps for Recruiters who have a 12Twenty account with another school:
- Visit HireSmith employer website
- Enter your email address
- Enter your 12Twenty password
- Click "Employer Log In"
HireSmith is now accepting:
- Job postings for immediate employer needs
- Registrations for our undergraduate career fair
- On-campus interview schedule requests for our fall and spring recruiting seasons
Alternatively, to access HireSmith Employer website, you can visit hiresmith.net and click "Employers" on the left menu. If you experience any difficulty logging into HireSmith, please call the Office of Career Services at 301-405-2301 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
All Smith alumni retain access to HireSmith for life.
HireSmith accounts may only be created for alumni who have (or students who will have) graduated with a Smith major, and students in the QUEST program. (This excludes business minors and exchange students.)
Access your HireSmith alumni account. You will be asked to enter your Directory ID and password, the same as you use in Testudo, using the CAS (Central Authentication Service).
Alumni who graduated a year or more ago may need to create a new UM Directory ID in order to access HireSmith. In this case, please follow these instructions to create your Directory ID and password. If you have any questions about your Directory account and password, please contact campus DIT at email@example.com or call 301-405-1500.
If you follow the above instructions and receive the message, "Single Sign-On Error. We have encountered an issue logging you into our system. A user with SSO ID '###' could not be found", please contact the Office of Career Services Tech support at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 301-405-2301. You can fill out this form to request an alumni account in HireSmith.
