Career Fair Pricing & Registration

Employer Registration

Employer registration is open on HireSmith. This fair is expected to sell out, so employers are encouraged to register early to secure a booth!

Registration package includes an 8′ x 6′ space (16′ x 6′ for a double booth) with a skirted table (6′ x 2′) and chairs, continental breakfast, catered lunch, wireless access, parking, booth signage, and access to an electrical outlet (if requested on the registration form). The price for a single booth includes three attendees while double booths include six attendees.

Please note: Booths are assigned only when payment or proof-of-payment-forthcoming is received.

Booth Pricing

  • Corporate single booth: $700 ($600 early bird)
  • Corporate double booth: $1300 ($1200 early bird)
  • Government single booth: $550 ($450 early bird)
  • Government/ double booth: $1000 ($900 early bird)
  • Non-profit single booth: $250 ($150 early bird)

Early bird rate applies to registrations submitted by December 31st, 2023.

During registration, employers will have the ability to share company and position information, insights on company culture, and tips for student attendees. We encourage employers to be comprehensive in their profile information to best assist candidates in their search.

Deadlines & Cancellation Policy

Advantage Expo advance order deadline: Friday, January 19th, 2024

Cancellation deadline: Monday, January 22nd, 2024

Payment deadline: Monday, January 22nd, 2024

You may cancel your registration before Monday, January 22nd, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET to receive a full refund and not owe a fair registration balance. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to smithcareerfair@umd.edu. Failure to cancel in writing by the cancellation deadline will leave the employer responsible for the registration fee, regardless of circumstances.

All other cancellations made after this deadline – including cancellations made by employers who register after the cancellation deadline – will still be billed and no refund will be administered. Employers who register and do not show up to the fair will also remain responsible for payment.

Directions, Parking & Accommodations

The event will take place at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center, located at 7801 Alumni Dr, College Park, MD 20742. Additional information, including parking details, will be sent to you closer to the event date. If you are coming from out of town and would like to stay close by, there are many hotels available near campus.

Inclement Weather Policy

Should the event be canceled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, credit will be given for a future fair.

Shipping Information

Advantage Conference & Expo is coordinating the freight for the Smith Undergraduate Career Fair. Fair materials that need to be shipped to the event will go through Advantage, and companies can also arrange for return shipment after the fair. Review the Shipping Guide for full information and note the advance order deadline of January 19th, 2024. Companies should NOT send materials directly to Riggs or the Office of Career Services.
