Event Information

The Smith School Office of Career Services is excited to host its annual spring Smith Undergraduate Career Fair - in person! This event brings together top employers and talented undergraduates from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

This fair is open to Smith undergraduate students and Smith undergraduate alumni. Students will be seeking externships, internships and full-time opportunities from all eight business majors: accounting, finance, marketing, supply chain management, operations management and business analytics, information systems, management, and international business.

Career Fair Pricing & Registration

Employer registration is open on HireSmith. This fair is expected to sell out, so employers are encouraged to register early to secure a booth!

Registration package includes an 8' x 6' space (16' x 6' for a double booth) with a skirted table (6' x 2') and chairs, continental breakfast, catered lunch, wireless access, parking, booth signage, and access to an electrical outlet (if requested on the registration form). The price for a single booth includes three attendees while double booths include six attendees.

Please note: Booths are assigned only when payment or proof-of-payment-forthcoming is received.

  • Corporate single booth: $700 ($600 early bird)
  • Corporate double booth: $1300 ($1200 early bird)
  • Government single booth: $550 ($450 early bird)
  • Government/ double booth: $1000 ($900 early bird)
  • Non-profit single booth: $250 ($150 early bird)

Early bird rate applies to registrations submitted by December 31, 2022.

During registration, employers will have the ability to share company and position information, insights on company culture, and tips for student attendees. We encourage employers to be comprehensive in their profile information to best assist candidates in their search.

Directions, Parking & Accommodations

The Adele H. Stamp Student Union is located at 3972 Campus Drive in the heart of the University of Maryland College Park campus. Employers will be provided parking in the garage located next to the venue. If seeking overnight accommodations, there are many hotel options available near campus. 

Shipping Information

Advantage Conference & Expo is coordinating the freight for the Smith Undergraduate Career Fair. Fair materials that need to be shipped to the event will go through Advantage, and companies can also arrange for a return shipment after the fair. Companies should NOT send materials directly to the Stamp or the Office of Career Services. Please note the advance order deadline for shipping materials to the fair through Advantage is January 19, 2023. Review the shipping guide for full details.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your registration before Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. ET to receive a full refund and not owe a fair registration balance. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to Failure to cancel in writing by the cancellation deadline will leave the employer responsible for the registration fee, regardless of circumstances.

All other cancellations made after this deadline – including cancellations made by employers who register after the cancellation deadline – will still be billed and no refund will be administered. Employers who register and do not show up to the fair will also remain responsible for payment.

Inclement Weather Policy

Should the event be canceled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, credit will be given for a future fair.
