Assistant Director, Undergraduate Career Programming
Amanda serves as a career coach on the undergraduate team in the Office of Career Services (OCS). With eight years of experience in career development and student leadership development, she focuses on working with Smith’s 28 undergraduate student business clubs and career-focused events, including employer visits and alumni panels. Amanda also oversees the marketing effort for the undergraduate team, supervising three marketing interns annually, helping them refine their marketing skills and increasing the reach of OCS.
Amanda came to Smith in 2016, after working five years in career development at a liberal arts college where she was part of a team that started an academic minor in leadership. While there, she also received her Myers Briggs Type Indicator certification (she is an ENTJ) and frequently uses this tool to help students explore best fitting career paths. Amanda received her master's degree in college student development from Appalachian State University in the beautiful mountains of Boone, N.C. When she is not coaching students to help them explore and reach their career goals, she enjoys escaping the city with her pups to enjoy the great outdoors.
