Executives from all over the world choose to learn at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. We've hosted engineers from Nigeria, tax administrators from India and bank officials from China in our executive suite in the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C. Our faculty regularly fly to countries including Brazil, South Korea, Thailand, and China to teach. The diversity of our faculty means that we can easily offer teaching in many languages and our subject matter experts are comfortable working with simultaneous and consecutive translation. We work with companies with operations in every continent and are happy to arrange culturally appropriate learning experiences for groups of participants with widely different backgrounds.

Gilad ChenDr. Gilad Chen, Robert H. Smith Chair in Organizational Behavior in Smith's department of management and organization, specializes in teaching global awareness and cross-cultural competency to American executives.

Anil GuptaDr. Anil K. Gupta is the Michael Dingman Chair in Global Strategy & Entrepreneurship at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park. He is widely regarded as one of the world's leading experts on strategy and globalization. Thinkers50 has named him as one of the world's 50 most influential management thinkers. He is the author of several books including Getting China and India Right; The Quest for Global Dominance; and The Silk Road Rediscovered. Dr. Gupta is in demand all over the world, leading discussions on global economic trends, and providing fresh insights to inform strategy.

Paulo ProchnoDr. Paulo Prochno is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Management and Organization at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. His expertise includes knowledge management, organizational routines, and cross-border management and manufacturing strategy. Fluent in Portuguese, he has helped major companies in Brazil to shape and disseminate their strategies and to foster innovation. His consulting and custom program clients include Petrobr ás (energy), Telemar/Oi (telecommunications), Grupo Votorantim (industrial/financial conglomerate), Furnas (energy), Samarco (mining), Correios (postal services), and Grupo Santander (banking). Dr. Prochno was formerly an industrial engineer for companies in the packaging and textile sectors.
