University of Maryland Veterans Scholarships
The University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) is dedicated to supporting educational opportunities for Veterans and active duty service members. The UMCP Veterans Initiative scholarships will provide support for Veteran students to pursue their educational goals. The scholarships are intended to cover direct study-related expenses such as tuition, fees, books, and room and board. Scholarships are for one year with the opportunity for current recipients to reapply in subsequent years (with the exception of the Tillman Scholarships). Last year we awarded more than 35 scholarships totaling over $140,000 in value!
For questions or additional information, view our merit-based scholarships for military/veteran students.
As an original Pat Tillman Foundation partner Institution, eligible active duty service members, veterans, and spouses are invited each Spring to submit applications for the Tillman Scholars. The 2018 application window has closed as of March 1. Click here for details on eligibility and about the application.
If you apply for the Tillman Scholarship you will automatically be considered for all University of Maryland Veteran Scholarships - this does not include non-veteran specific scholarships or Veterans scholarships administered by the State of Maryland or other entities.
