The goal of the MIS Academic Leadership Conference (MALC) is to provide a forum for Management Information Systems (MIS) academic leaders to network with and learn from each other. As in past years, the conference will be an excellent forum to exchange ideas and share best practices and experiences relating to curricula, research, recruiting, and strategic issues pertaining to the IS discipline. We look forward to your visit to College Park, Md., and your participation in this exciting and vital event. There are many challenges facing our community, and MALC represents a coming together of the leadership in the field to collectively discuss how to address them. The conference agenda will commence with a welcome reception on the evening of Nov. 9 at the University of Maryland Golf Course and will conclude with a boxed lunch on Nov. 11.

Topics this year include experiences relating to business analytics and information systems MS programs, the advent of MOOCs and online programs, new directions in IS research, and the development of industry-academia collaborations. Over 70 department and program heads, deans, journal editors, and leading researchers are attending the conference.
