UMD alumni and their guests are invited to join a breakfast talk with David Saunders, '81 and CEO, K2 Advisors LLC. David will share his experience with running a successful investment management firm, the challenges that have come along the way and how the firm has adapted to meet these challenges and grow. He will also discuss how technology is disrupting the workforce, highlighting his personal view on exciting new areas to work in, skills needed and a futuristic outlook on how AI and technology may change the way we live.
 
This event is hosted by the Robert H. Smith School of Business and is open to all University of Maryland Alumni.

David C. Saunders, Founding Managing Director, graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1981 with a B.S. degree in Business. He has been involved in the investment and trading of financial instruments since 1983. He has worked at Tucker Anthony & R.L. Day as an equity trader; First Boston Corp. as Vice President on the equity block trading desk; WaterStreet Capital, a hedge fund, as Head Trader; Tiger Management, as Head Trader; WorldSec Securities as President and ABN Amro Inc. as a Senior Managing Director. He co-founded K2 Advisors in 1994.
 
Mr. Saunders is a Trustee of the Board of Directors of the Tiger Foundation; serves on the Board of Directors of The Windham Chapter of the Catskill Mountain Foundation as well as on the Board of Directors of the University System of Maryland Foundation, Inc.
