The Smith community is committed to the success of our students, faculty and staff who identify as underrepresented minorities. Our goal is to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in all our programs. The Office of Diversity Initiatives has partnered with organizations such as Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) that equips high-potential African-American, Hispanic and Native Americans with the skills, coaching and connections they need to lead organizations and communities worldwide.
Our office provides support and networking opportunities for underrepresented minorities from the time they enter the pipeline throughout their journey in the classroom and co-curricular activities. The Smith School hosts a number of pre-college programs as well as graduate diversity recruiting events. Once a part of the community, we encourage participation in one of the many affinity clubs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
