Join Victor C. Mullins, associate dean of undergraduate programs and diversity officer at the Smith School, as he facilitates a conversation with Maynard McAlpin, the chief operating officer of Versant Health.

As chief operating officer, McAlpin manages all operations and information technology for Versant Health. With 25 years of experience, he'll lead its newly unified group to advance business performance as well as continuously improve customer satisfaction and retention.

A U.S. Navy veteran with more than 10 years of service, McAlpin joins Versant Health from HM Health Solutions, a Highmark subsidiary, where he was vice president of delivery services and implementation. McAlpin also served as president and chief executive officer at Mokxa Technologies, as well as Charted Health Plan. He has also worked at Aetna, where he was managing director of enterprise strategic planning, and at CareFirst, where he held a variety of executive leadership positions.
McAlpin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University, as well as a Master of Science and a Master of Business Administration.
