Yifei Wang began the Smith PhD program in Information Systems within the Department of Decision, Operation and Information Technology in Fall 2018. Her research interest lies in bridging the gender gaps in the technology-embedded contexts, using various methods in econometrics, field and lab experiments, and machine learning. She also has research interests in two other domains: 1) human capital management in the online labor market, and 2) the behavioral impact of social media platforms.

Yifei’s work has been recognized at top conferences such as the International Conference of Information Systems (ICIS), Workshop on Information Systems and Economics (WISE), Conference on Information Systems and Technology (CIST), INFORMS, Academy of Management (AOM) within the division of Communication, Digital Technology, and Organization (CTO) and Technology and Innovation Management (TIM).
