PhD Candidate in Supply Chain Management
Xinyi began the program in Fall 2014. Her research interests center on the use of big data to solve real-world problems under the retail operations context. She is particularly interested in understanding how omnichannel operations help firms improve their financial and operational performance, using econometrics, big data analytics, field experiments, and simulation modeling. She has worked closely with leading retailers and manufacturers and several findings from her research have been adopted by the collaborating firms.
Xinyi has presented her work at many premier conferences such as CSCMP, POMS, INFORMS, and DSI. Her research has been published in International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management.
