Stacey Ferris, CPA, CFE is an Associate Director with HKA, providing forensic accounting and expert witness services to a variety of clients including blockchain startups and supporting law enforcement crypto investigations. She holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting from North Georgia University, and a Master of Accountancy from Georgia Southern University. Her professional career began with Ernst & Young in their fraud investigation and dispute services advisory group. She is a co-author of the NIST study The Economic Impact of the Advanced Encryption Standard, 1996-2017 and has published several articles on digital assets including most recently an article on types of NFTs for accounting purposes in the October 2022 AICPA's Journal of Accountancy.
