Ryan Cooper
Assistant Professor
Ph.D., Washington University in St. Louis
Professor Cooper is originally from Charleston, South Carolina, and has also lived in Provo, Utah; Andorra; Barcelona, Spain; Madison, Wisconsin; and St. Louis, Missouri.
His research is focused on the economic and organizational factors that influence individual decision-making in markets and firms. These include both input-related factors - such as knowledge sharing, problem-solving routines, and human capital - and output-related factors such as incentives. Firms who understand how their managers and workers make the decisions that determine profitability are able to influence those individuals to make decisions that lead to the best possible outcomes for the organization.
