Stevi Calandra joined the Ed Snider Center in 2017 and her focus is on building greater awareness of the Center's research, program initiatives and events, and growing its online and social media presence.
Stevi is a content creator and media strategist. She currently leads the editorial on the Ed Snider Center's digital publication, Snider Focus, manages all Ed Snider Center social media accounts, creates promotional and educational video content, executive produces The Inc. Tank videocast/podcast, and supervises event and program marketing.
Stevi began her career as an ESL/Communications lecturer and curriculum developer. She holds an MA in ESL/Linguistics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After volunteering at an immigrant/refugee service center in Honolulu, Stevi became interested in how to share people's stories. This lead her to getting an MFA in Film/Video Production at Florida State University. After that, she worked as a non-fiction documentary producer/writer/editor for 16 years. She spent most of that time at Discovery Communications and National Geographic Channels where she developed and produced the "Unlikely Animal Friends" series as well as many other on-air, digital, and promotional projects.
