Beatriz Winn joined the Snider Center in 2017 to create partnerships and growth opportunities for the Center. Beatriz is a skilled facilitator and entrepreneur who enjoys working with business leaders to create market opportunities and develop solutions. She teaches career exploration (BMGT198) courses to undergraduate students.
Prior to joining the Center, Beatriz served as Director of Student Retention at Laureate Education, Inc. For over 16 years, she has worked designing and implementing online and on-campus education and training programs in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. Beatriz launched the pilot in Mexico of the institute of the International Youth Foundation to provide training and funding to young social entrepreneurs, the model today operates in nine countries. She has extensive consulting experience working with startups, international organizations, and corporations.
Beatriz holds a BA in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana, a MA in Public Administration from New York University, and a MBA from the Smith School of Business at University of Maryland. Beatriz is the founder of the online gift service Love is Present, a member of the National Association of Women’s MBA, a volunteer at Open IDEO, and a piano player. Beatriz speaks Spanish and is proficient in Portuguese.
