Semester Exchange Course Guides

Deciding where to study abroad can be a difficult decision. An important factor is course availability and applicability to your major or area of interest. CGB has created semester exchange course guides to help you in this decision-making process.

How to Use Semester Exchange Course Guides

Semester exchange course guides provide a list of major requirements or interest-specific courses at each Maryland Smith exchange partner school. You can use these guides to determine which semester exchange partner offers the most degree requirements for your specific major or the most courses in your area of interest.

Each guide also lists courses that have not been evaluated but fit within the academic discipline, as these courses may be of interest to students in that particular major. These courses are listed in each guide without a BMGT course code. You can work with your CGB adviser and academic adviser to have these evaluated for equivalency.

After reviewing the courses in each guide, it is important to double-check course equivalencies and whether the courses will be offered during your semester abroad. Course guides should be used to help you decide which semester exchange program will fit your academic plans best, but keep in mind that you still need to meet with your CGB and academic advisers to make sure the program will be a good fit overall.
