The Maryland Global Export Consulting Program will give clients the opportunity to work with high-achieving students. Projects require students to utilize general strategy, marketing, finance, supply chain and logistics, and/or data analytics skills. Teams of five to six students, advised by Smith School faculty and Maryland Department of Commerce, Office of International Investment and Trade (OIIT) subject matter experts, will spend 14 weeks tackling the projects. MBA teams will provide up to 400 hours of consulting services; honors undergraduate teams, up to 200 hours. Participating companies will pay a flat fee of $2,000 for MBA teams and $1,000 for undergraduate teams to support the program.
How to Apply
The Maryland Department of Commerce will accept companies’ applications to the program on an annual basis for projects that will start in January of each year. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Interested companies will meet with Maryland Department of Commerce staff assigned to the international region on which the consulting project will focus.
