From January 7-17, 2020, the Center for Global Business at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business hosted the 20th annual global immersion study tour for 36 graduate students from longtime Maryland Smith partner, RMIT University. The annual program includes two weeks of site visits to various industry partners around the region, seminars conducted by Smith School faculty, excursions to national and local cultural sites, and an introduction to higher education in the U.S.

The University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business was represented by four undergraduate students at the 2019 International Business Case Challenge hosted by the University of Connecticut. This competition, which took place from November 13–17, 2019, included students from all around the world. Students were organized into teams with participants from other schools and countries in order to solve an international business case.

The center showcased all of the global opportunities available to students at the Smith School including study abroad programs, global internships, on-campus programs, scholarships, case competitions and more.

Over 120 recently returned study abroad students participated in the Fourth Annual Global Showcase on February 14, 2019.
