Hear from founders, investors and serial entrepreneurs on the Dingman Center's startup podcast, Bootstrapped. While the podcast covers many aspects of startup life, the heart of the show focuses on funding from both the founder and investor perspectives, thus the name Bootstrapped. Each episode starts with trend stories from the hosts, then moves on to an interview with a special guest. Topics range from fundraising and marketing to team formation and customer acquisition. Subscribe to Bootstrapped on iTunes or listen from our web site.
The Dingman Center Angels is a Maryland based angel investment group that provides funding to early-stage companies located within the Mid-Atlantic region. Our members are entrepreneurs, CXO's, venture capitalists and business leaders who have founded, funded and built world-class companies. Alumni can pitch for funding or join as an investor.
The Dingman Center offers Dingman Fridays advising sessions to all UMD alumni. Every Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., experienced entrepreneurs are available to provide actionable feedback on your business idea. Sessions are open to students, alumni, staff and faculty. No need to bring a presentation or business plan; just be prepared to share your idea and receive some great advice from our advisors. Virtual sessions are available for alumni who are unable to come to campus.
We are always seeking entrepreneurs and business professionals to provide lectures, presentations and speeches on a wide variety of topics.
