Currently, I am the co-chair of the CRTC Health Tech Forum, I earned my masters in biomedical engineering along with dozens of patents and publication and currently am the founder/president of FamilyeJournal.com – a website that strengthens family relationships which leads to improved mental health and emotional well-being.
Santosh founded Vigilant Medical in 2010 to address the growing digital health needs of improving quality care and coordination via a secure, HIPAA compliant web-based exchange of patient records and imaging data (CT, MRI, X-ray). Today the flagship product, ImageShare, serves many of the top US hospitals and health systems such as Cleveland Clinic and Catholic Health Initiatives. Prior to his current venture, he led the research, development, and commercialization efforts of early stage biomedical technologies in the areas of neurocritical care monitoring, cardiac rhythm nalysis, and GI imaging. This resulted in over $20M in translational research funding from NIH and culminated with regulatory 510(k) approval of the 1st in class web & Bluetooth enabled brain monitoring platform. Nature of Current Work: I work with prospective healthcare clients (primarily MCOs and ACOs) to help them improve their care management and assessment processes by leveraging our care coordination tool built on Force.com. The tool includes workflow automation, task and event alerts, drag-and-drop forms configuration, and other VisualForce pages and proprietary Apex code.
Background: I have a lot of experience working with and mentoring high school students. I led a leadership program for 42 high school students for 2 summers and I coached a soccer team of 14-year-olds for 2 years. I also have +3 years of experience working in health IT.
Most recently, Roxanne Ward Zaghab, MSW, DM, CKM, directed the launch, operation, and continuous improvement of the CIPS Knowledge Enterprise learning portal for health professionals. The robust online asynchronous portal (www.pharmacists4knowledge.org) builds on strong partnerships, evidence in knowledge management, and optimizing use of available educational technologies. Zaghab has "innovated" the business model for sustainable university-based online education for health professionals through responsive business models, innovative team processes, and technology-assisted assessment. Dr. Zaghab's research and scholarship involve: human-technology interactions, implementation studies, practice dissemination, learning theory in resource-constrained practice; open educational resources; technology-assessed evaluation, and practitioner outcomes in interactive online learning. Since 2011, she has designed curriculum and taught online at the University of Maryland University College in the fields of health care and organizational management.
Robert started his career over 25 years ago with Andersen Consulting as an information technology consultant. Over that time he has performed every role within the information system development lifecycle. He has always been interested in finding approaches and methodologies to more efficiently and cost effectively develop, maintain and audit technology for the healthcare and public sectors. To that end, Robert has developed multiple successful technology, business process and audit services around project risk management, quality improvement, internal controls readiness and regulatory compliance. As a Deloitte Partner, he served as regional project risk services and IT audit leader as well as a regional and national diversity leader. As an entrepreneur and business leader his current focus is on developing innovative and efficient approaches to mitigating and preventing the myriad of risks from the growth and increasing prevalence of Health IT. Robert has been one of the drivers in the development and launch of the HIPAA HITECH Express security and privacy compliance solution, as well as the QI EXPRESS platform for enhancing and managing healthcare quality and certification (PCMH, OSHA).
