Guidelines for Workshop Presentations

We have created a presentation template which we suggest, but do not require you to adopt. Presenters should email their slides to chita@rhsmith.umd.edu in both PowerPoint (for presenting) and PDF format (for sharing with other attendees).

Research Sessions

A research session lasts 80 minutes. Each presenter will have 15 minutes for their presentation, followed by 5 minutes of audience questions. It is important that presenters plan their remarks carefully, as we will adhere strictly to timing guidelines.

Please name the presentation file “CHITA2018-SessionXY-slides” where X is the number of the session and Y is the number of your paper as found in the workshop program: For example, session 1, 2nd presentation, the file should be CHITA2018-Session12-slides.

Please do not make fonts too small, overuse text and do not overcrowd your slides.

Email the presentation in both PowerPoint and PDF format to chita@rhsmith.umd.edu.

Research Panels

There are seven research panel sessions. Each presenter will get 3 minutes and up to 4 slides (1 title slide and up to 3 content slides), followed by moderator and audience questions. It is important that presenters plan their remarks carefully, as we will adhere strictly to the timing guidelines.

Please name the presentation file “CHITA2018PanelXY-slides” where X is the panel #, and Y is the number of your paper as found in the workshop program: for example, research panel 1, 2nd presentation, the file name should be CHITA2018-Panel12-slides.

Please do not make fonts too small, overuse text and do not overcrowd your slides.

Email the presentation in both PowerPoint and PDF format to chita@rhsmith.umd.edu.

CHITA does not assume copyright over work accepted for presentation and does not publish conference proceedings.
